Salli Biesòmme! (2024) 15’ is a research documentary summarizing interviews with ten high school students from the Sarreguemines area (Moselle-Est,France). All students learn Platt Deutsch (Rheinfränkisch) at school as an optionnal subject and have a close connection with the language at home. It provides with the unheard and uniquely sensitive perspective of a new generation.


All questions were drafted with the help, guidance and kindness of Marielle Rispail, who was a professor emeritus of sociolinguistics and didactics of plurilingualism at the University Jean Monnet in Saint Étienne (France). The entierty of the recordings also lead to a full qualitative analysis by M. Rispail.

 
This documentary has been comissionned by the town of Sarreguemines (France) as part of the Mir Redde Platt festival (2024 Edition) and was screened publicly on the 10.04.2024.
